I have seen the slide in family and friends. Not this complete, but after non stop consumption of the fear mongering being spread by Trump, his propaganda ma hime and the church leaders who twisted scriptures and theocracy into supporting this movement as being patriotic and godly.

I take small comfort in knowing it's not just my parents. My mom went absolutely batshit just like this and my dad just follows her lead. I had cut them off completely for 3 years and got back in touch when my dad got hospitalized with covid. Cut them off again back in March. I just cant do it anymore.
