Yesterday, we put out our final audit for the term, and it was a doozy.
And we submitted a final report (required by the City Charter) on the impact of our audits over the past four years.

Over the term, we’ve issued 120 audits. They helped the City save billions of dollars, restructure NYC Ferry, better catch ghost plate cheats, involved NYCHA residents in oversight, exposed DocGo, and much more. Props to our Audit Bureau on profound impact.

Those 120 audits contained 785 recommendations. City agencies agreed to implement 478 (61%). Of these, 361 (46%) have been implemented, 29 (4%) are partially implemented, and 316 (40%) are still pending.

Trump is wantonly abusing executive power through warrantless spying. Congressmembers incl. Dan Goldman handed him the ability to do it by voting against a warrant requirement last year.
In Congress, I’ll vote to add a warrant requirement to FISA (like Jerry Nadler and others did). We need more reps willing to stand up to whoever is in the White House — Dem or GOP — and fight like hell for our civil liberties.

Made our annual trip to the New York Botanic Gardens holiday train show yesterday (wasn’t fibbing on my @nymag NYQ interview)! Marek loves Yankee Stadium, Rosa loves the little red lighthouse under the GWB. I love Coney Island (no miniature Cyclone to eat a hot dog on, though). My favorite new plant-based building was the newly renovated Delcorte Theater that houses Shakespeare in the Park in Central Park, looks amazing!
