I was married in 1966 and my mom gave us a stainless steel set of pots. She bought them at Sears on time and carried them home on a bus. She struggled to pay for them as my father left her for a younger woman and money was hard to come by. Mom was 31 at the time. Those pots are gone now except for the double boiler which I used today. My mom died in 1981 and I still miss her. I think of her when I use the last of her gift to us.❤️

Well Bell And Crave you definitely have a hit with this show. I just finished episode 2 and am hooked. The entire cast is amazing thanks to Nova Scotia author Rachel Reid whose book this is based on. Episode 1 was intense but I stayed with it and highly recommend it to anyone who has not seen it yet. Totally Canadian🇨🇦❤️PS, I want that fleecey jacket

Ok I started watching Heated Rivalry and just finished Episode one. Well episode one killed me dead. I am not sure I will survive episode two. I need to lose myself in my kindle. I think of myself as an enlightened woman but this has enlightened me more than I was prepared for. I hate being old🤭🙄😩

I wake up every morning dreading the news and I know I am not alone. The American people who did not vote for this and are fighting back as hard as they can are hostages in their own country. He is targeting blue states because they didn’t vote for him. He is also targeting my country and others but we thankfully don’t have I.C.E. roaming our streets, YET. He wants an empire and that is terrifying. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in weeks. I hate 2026😳😡🇨🇦

I have been up for hours reading about the spin the networks and Maga are using to “explain” what happened yesterday. We all saw the video and no amount of spin can change the facts. That woman was shot in cold blood and left in her vehicle without medical attention while the thug that k*lled her calmly walked to his car and drove away. There will be no accountability and no justice for her family. So sorry from Canada😩

Make no mistake, Maduro was never a good guy but the Trump administration took this action out of greed for their resources . They will just take what they want and they won’t stop there. Enough will never be enough. The Congress, Senate and SC have no power and he has formed his own little army called ICE. Someone else did that many decades ago and named it Gestapo. I will not be ringing in the New Year. I am old and need my sleep. I can’t get rid of this year fast enough. I know in my gut that when I wake up in 2026, it will be more of the same or even worse. Anyone who knows me will tell you I have always been an optimist much to the annoyance of my pessimistic friends but not anymore. I have joined their ranks and I am not happy about it. So for those of you still optimistic, Happy New Year from me to you. 🎉🎊🎈🥳

There is no deal for peace between Ukraine and Russia yet. President Zelensky says the US has included a 15 year security guarantee which I believe isn’t worth the paper it is written on. This is a president that changes his mind ,no doubt, more often than he changes his underwear. Zelensky for the sake of his country had to stand there listening to the 🤡babble. I just deleted my thread about taking down my tree and immediately got one reply from some person with one post saying that if a I put it up at the right time, I might enjoy it more. Didnt know there were rules and then another person joined in saying I should leave it up til January little Christmas or whatever. I will put my tree up and take it down when I damn well feel like it, opinions not needed or wanted.

When 2020 ended after dealing with covid and four years of DJT, we all breathed a large sigh of relief with some hope for the future and then 2025 happened. Things got worse and I am dreading the next three years of his madness. Every country is reeling from the chaos he creates. The new year does not bode well. What shocks me the most about the release of the Epstein files is how much belief people had that the law would be followed in that they would all be released unredacted in their entirety. This administration has never followed the law and really, who’s going to stop them? They own all branches of the government and the Supreme Court rubber stamps everything for them.
