I know that the USNS Lansing’s service will be inspired by the great city she is named after. A place where people come together to build great things and pursue bold ideas.
Let's keep getting SHIP done.

I’m proud of the @cityofdetroit, Detroit Police, & @michstatepolice for bringing homicides in Detroit down to their lowest point in 60 years.
Let's keep working together to improve public safety and support local and state law enforcement so all Michiganders can feel safe in their communities.

You can always bet on the Michigan Lottery to make a real difference for students, teachers, and schools. I'm grateful that for a seventh year in a row, the Michigan Lottery has contributed more than $1 billion to the School Aid Fund!
That's money to feed kids, help them read and write, and give our students the best education possible.
Despite federal changes to the vaccine schedule, Michigan will continue trusting the experts and providing opportunities for Michiganders to keep their families safe.
Immunizations will remain available because in Michigan we put science before politics.

My office is closely following and in contact with local officials after an armed person attempted to enter Romulus Middle School today.
Thank you to law enforcement and school personnel for acting quickly to keep students and staff safe.
Happy New Year’s Eve Michigan! As we eagerly await the countdown to 2026, I’m so grateful for every Michigander who has made this year so special. Let’s keep working hard and working together in the new year. Have a joyful, safe, and meaningful New Year’s Eve Michigan.
I am sad to hear of the loss of a leader, public servant, and friend, Michael Lahti. Mike served the UP for four years as a state representative, where I had the pleasure of working, learning, and laughing with him.
My condolences go out to his family. Mike will be missed across Michigan and especially by his fellow Yoopers.
As the UP and Northern Michigan face continued extreme winter weather conditions, I encourage Michiganders affected to stay safe and avoid travel if possible.
Thank you to the @michigandot crews and emergency services working around the clock to keep people safe.
Wishing every Michigander celebrating Kwanzaa a day of unity, joy, and quality time spent with loved ones.
Merry Christmas Michigan!
I’m wishing everyone celebrating a day of joy, love, and lots of fun with family and friends 🎄
It’s Christmas Eve! As many of us enjoy time spent with family and friends, for some Michiganders, work doesn’t stop.
Thank you to the first responders, service members, healthcare workers, roads crews, and every Michigander doing essential work around the clock this holiday season.
Congratulations Brig. General Leah Voelker on taking over as commander of Selfridge Air National Guard Base, the first woman to serve in this role.
In her position, Voelker will oversee 1,400 airmen and provide installation support for more than 5,000 joint service members and employees.

As Selfridge begins a new chapter with a fighter mission, I stand ready to support Brig. General Voelker in her new role.
Congratulations Brig. General Voelker, and thank you for your service.
At a time when families can use a little help, the students at Holt High School stepped up and delivered.
Thank you for showing up for your neighbors and continuing to lead by example year after year.
As we celebrate the holidays this week, let’s all take time to recognize the brave men and women who keep us safe. Michigan is wrapping our arms around every service member who's unable to be home with family this holiday.
Thank you for your selflessness and happy holidays.
What can I say, it’s just a Michigan thing 🤷♀️

This is what a year of getting things done looks like.
I’m proud of all we accomplished in 2025. As we look forward to 2026, I’m excited to continue delivering for Michiganders as governor.
If it’s not the North Pole, it’s gotta be Frankenmuth 🎁
It’s always a joy supporting Michigan businesses selling Michigan products. This holiday season and all year round, let’s support the small businesses that make our communities feel like home.
#1 in the East and #1 in our hearts.
Let's go @detroitpistons!
Today, I visited Holt High School and joined a group of incredible students serving meals to the Holt community and making a real difference. Along the way, I met some awesome seniors and teachers eager for the holiday break.
Let's keep showing up for our neighbors and communities this holiday season!
Barry is back in the game and this time he's helping Michigan score where it really counts: men's health.
I'm proud to team up with @barrysanders on the Governor's council on Physical Fitness, Health, and Sports to help men take care of their health and win for life!
Michigan is facing an all hands on deck crisis. Ensuring every child can read and write is going to take all of us as leaders, parents, and everyday Michiganders.
Let’s all work to build a Michigan where every child reads 📖

Today’s court decision to reinstate the practice of conversion therapy in Michigan is not only disappointing, it’s harmful.
Conversion therapy remains a dangerous, outdated practice that leaves kids just trying to find their place in the world with lifelong trauma.

We should be working towards a more inclusive Michigan where we welcome and celebrate all Michiganders from all walks of life.
While today’s decision is a step away from that goal, I will continue standing beside the LGBTQ+ community.
You will always have a home in Michigan 🏳️🌈
I am deeply saddened that we lost a brave Michigander over the weekend in an attack in Syria. Ayad Mansoor Sakat was an interpreter who proudly served this country with honor and courage. My condolences go out to his loved ones and the Macomb Township community.
Literacy is a superpower that all of our kids deserve. When students learn to read and write, they are set up for a lifetime of success.
Let's all come together and do our part to help every child read.

Today, Republicans in Congress are jacking up the cost of health care, forcing more than 20 million Americans to pay more for worse coverage.
They are continuing their pattern of devastating cuts to services that people actually need.
Earlier this year they slashed Medicaid and SNAP, allowing our neighbors, family, and friends to be sick, get hurt, or go hungry without help.
Right now, Michiganders need real relief, especially as they face rising costs, a challenging job market, and global economic instability.
I’ll always be ready to work with anyone who’s serious about solving problems, but too many people in power today are committed to making them worse. Let’s work together to make people’s lives better.
