Until November 23, Hermès is delighted to invite you in Taipei to meet its artisans and to discover its spirit of creation and innovation through its unique craftsmanship. Hermès in the Making explores our contemporary manufacturing and will show you how objects designed to last are created using artisanal techniques. This travelling exhibition shines a light on the artisans, their tools, their gestures, and the spirit of transmission that has defined the house since 1837.
Laid out in a welcoming, open-plan manner inspired by a craftsman’s workbench, the scenography of the event features four themes that form the basis of the history and life of the house: preservation and transmission of know-how, respect for and quality of materials, commitment to the long-term, and regional anchoring.
