Whatever happened to that whole Web 3.0 thing? Feels like now might be a good time for its revival.

@halftime_content how do you colorize/touch up the footage? Also how do you get access tot his footage? Genuinely curious. It’s very cool!

@redsox absolutely love the 11:10 start on Marathon Monday. Iconic and unique tradition to Boston. Subsequently, I’ve noticed other games this year with pre-noon start times(which I like BTW). Just wondering if this a new thing for this year? Don’t recall any other than the Marsthin game steering that early in years prior.

So…he issues an EO to reinstate the Presidental Fitness test under the purview of the DOE…but the administration is eliminating the DOE. So therefore the EO is essentially null and void right? Why would schools institute knowing there will be little to no DOE?

Why did MAGA and Republicans start using the phrase Democrat party instead of Democratic? Do they think its more offensive? That they are cool? They would be wrong on both accounts.

August recess? August Recess? Jesus Congress, when DO you work? I never want to hear any congressperson complain about any American workers vacation time ever again.

@thisisbillgates can your foundation make up the funding loss for PBS and NPR. You could do this great good and probably not even notice the change in your bank account.

@cnn why the new hard paywall? You were a site I relied on for free news, ya know like a democracy should have. Will be deleting your app since it’s essentially useless now.

@thisisbillgates perfect time for your foundation to step up and fund all these rural hospitals that now are in danger of closing. OR helping people who lose their health insurance to pay for new plans. Just sayin. Also, help fund PBS while we’re at it😀

The NBA app. allows you to watch any Finals game ffromthe past 30 years. Only need to set up an NBA ID(which is free). One 30 second ad at the beginning is all for the entirety of the games. This is in addition to their TikTok like feed and extensive options to learn about the game is why I think it’s the best of the 4 major sports apps. @magdalena.kala

“Well the French gave us the Statue of Liberty” is such an asinine argument and they know it. EVERYONE in America(citizens and tourists alike) can visit and enjoy the SOL. How are all Americans benefitting from the Qatari jet? Will there be a lottery for flights among alll American families? Still waiting to hear about that part. 😂

Asked ChaGPT to formulate a plan to free American detainees from CECOT. Seems many of these actions already have been/are in motion.

MISSION GOAL

Secure the safe release and repatriation of American citizens detained in CECOT (Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo), a maximum-security prison in El Salvador, under President Nayib Bukele’s anti-gang crackdown.

@bustagrimes22

2025-05-06

• Get verified names, citizenship proof, arrest records, and any charges from Salvadoran authorities or lawyers.
• Document conditions inside CECOT — this includes access to food, legal counsel, medical care, and visitation rights.
• Human rights lawyers and local contacts (e.g., FESPAD, Cristosal, or Human Rights Watch regional investigators) can help investigate.

2. Assess Violations
Were they denied a lawyer? Consular access? Beaten?
If yes, that violates El Salvador’s own laws +

international treaties (Vienna Convention, ICCPR, American Convention on Human Rights). That’s leverage.

3. Alert the U.S. government.
File for “wrongfully detained” status under the Levinson Act. That triggers special attention from the U.S. State Dept.
Loop in Congress. Lawmakers can pressure Bukele through hearings, sanctions, or funding threats.

@bustagrimes22

4. Go international.
File petitions with:
• The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights
• The UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention
These bodies can demand action and embarrass El Salvador diplomatically.

The coup doesn’t always come with tanks.

The Roman Senate wasn’t overthrown—it became irrelevant.
Power shifted quietly to generals and populist leaders.
“The Republic was dead, but no one noticed until the corpse began to smell.”

Charisma > Constitution.

Figures like Caesar, Pompey, and Sulla bent the law by claiming to save the Republic.
Each crisis made the next strongman seem necessary.
Populism and fear paved the way for a military-backed emperor.

Rome didn’t fall—it slowly gave power away.

The Republic died because citizens and elites allowed it.
They traded freedoms for “security,” power for promises.
Holland: “Liberty was no longer trusted as a guarantee of stability.”
That’s how democracies slide into autocracy.

“Crossing the Rubicon” isn’t just a phrase. It’s a warning.

When Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon River in 49 BCE, he defied the Roman Senate and sparked civil war.
He didn’t seize power—he walked into a power vacuum left by a broken system.
Sound familiar?

“A judge cannot determine foreign policy” is asinine. This administration made it foreign policy by illegally flying him to another country. He was not afforded the due process he is entitled to and rights absolutely under the jurisdiction of a judge.
